The Biography Of Lois Lane
Lois Joanne Lane was born November 10, 1982, to Moira Sullivan-Lane and General Sam Lane. Her mother originally wished to name her Chloe, but her father decided it was a bit too exotic for his tastes, and suggested Lois instead.
Since Lois's birth, her parents have separated a total of three times, the first of which was when Lois was only five years old. The first time lasted for about three years, and finally, shortly after Lois's eighth birthday, the two reconciled. It's often been said that Moira is too sweet and loving to be involved with a hard-nosed individual like Sam, but, somehow, they can't seem to stay away from each other.
Early on, Lois discovered she had a love for the unexplained, as well as for news. She was watching the nightly news as early as age three, and, in fact, was doing so for the first time the night her mother went into labor with her younger sister. She read a newspaper for the first time when she was six, and promptly felt the urge to be involved in retelling the news. At age eight, Lois wrote her first article for her elementary school's paper, one that questioned the existence of the Loch Ness Monster. Her mother began referring to her as "my little cub reporter", and has ever since, though Lois obviously hasn't been considered a cub reporter in quite some time.
